Lex Luger Picks His Choice For WWE Hall Of Fame Inductor
Lex Luger has a big name in mind if he ever gets the call to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Whenever WrestleMania season comes around in the spring and people start guessing who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the name of Lex Luger is constantly mentioned by wrestling fans.
That’s because Lex Luger was a main event guy for a long time starting in the NWA, then in the early days of WCW, then he had the classic “Lex Express” run in WWE and another WCW run that produced some memorable moments.
During his WCW career, Luger won most of the championships available to male wrestlers while also becoming the WCW World Champion twice. In WWE, Luger didn’t become WWE Champion, but he did win the 1994 Royal Rumble with Bret Hart in a memorable tie finish.
At the age of 66, Luger is in a wheelchair due to injuries suffered in the wrestling ring. Despite that, he still does a podcast, does interviews, and makes appearances to meet fans as well.
Lex Luger Chooses His Hall Of Fame Inductor
During an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Luger was asked about who he would like to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.
“Obviously, Sting would be a great choice. He pops in my mind first for sure.”
Sting is not a surprise since Luger and Sting were closely linked throughout their careers both as allies and rivals.
Luger also spoke about what it was like to be at Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution this past March.
“It was fabulous. What a career. Who would have imagined, spanning five decades of time, really. Absolutely incredible.”
While Luger hasn’t been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame yet, he was featured in an A&E Biography Legends episode in August 2022 where he was praised heavily for having a legendary career.
