Legendary WWE Tag Team Reunion Allegedly In The Works

The Street Profits & The Usos on WWE SmackDown

A former WWE employee believes a legendary tag team is set to reunite to chase the World Tag Team Championship.

Jey Uso recently dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther after holding it for 51 days. The 39-year-old was then added to the King of the Ring tournament.

However, Jey was eliminated from the semi-finals last night on RAW after losing clean to Cody Rhodes in the main event.

On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former WWE Senior Director of International Television Tommy Carlucci discussed the potential plans for the former World Heavyweight Champion after his defeat against The American Nightmare.

Carlucci claimed the company would reunite Jey with his twin brother, Jimmy, to enter a storyline with the World Tag Team Champions, The New Day.

They’re setting him up to go back with his brother Jimmy to wrestle The New Day. That’s what’s gonna happen here, folks. [10:33 onwards]

While Jey competed in the King of the Ring tournament, his twin brother recently came to Jacob Fatu’s aid against Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo on SmackDown.

Jey Uso Is Portrayed As a “Loser” In WWE, According To Tommy Carlucci

On the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Tommy Carlucci and his co-host, former Interim RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman, discussed the perception of Jey Uso based on his recent booking.

The former WWE Senior Director of International Television claimed the former World Heavyweight Champion is being portrayed as a “loser.”

Jonathan Coachman: Tommy, right now, here’s what Jey Uso is. He is a Superstar who has an entrance, who I love, and then he loses. So what’s the perception of him, Tommy?

Tommy Carlucci: He’s a loser. And here’s the deal, Coach. I hate to say that because I really like Jey a lot. They’re making him into a loser.
