Legendary WWE faction ‘Team Angle’ recently reunited in New York.

The heartwarming reunion took place during ‘The Big Event’ convention in Brentwood, NY on 9th November, with Kurt Angle pictured alongside former stable mates Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.

The trio came together on the 26th December edition of SmackDown and went on to a enjoy a short period of success, with Benjamin and Haas supporting Angle as he prepared for his epic WrestleMania 19 bout with Brock Lesnar.

The duo, collectively known as ‘The World’s Greatest Tag Team’ also captured gold at this time, defeating Los Guerreros to lift the WWE Tag Team Championship on 6th February 2003.

The WWE Hall Of Famer fired the two youngsters from Team Angle during the 12th June 2003 edition of SmackDown following a run of defeats. Despite the fractured end to their relationship as a faction, the three men showed there to be no hard feelings as they posed for photographs at the huge convention in the Empire State.

WWE Welcomes New Superstars

WWE could soon have the next Team Angle on their hands after they announced a series of signings from the independent scene.

The company launched it’s new global talent identification initiative on 29th October, expanding on it’s existing NIL program by focusing on potential future Superstars already in independent wrestling promotions around the world.

Five signings have been announced so far with more expected on 10th November at Reality Of Wrestling’s Super Sunday Event. The fledgling promotion is owned by WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T.
