Legendary Faction Is Officially Done, Says WWE Personality

A WWE analyst believes the Stamford-based company has closed the book on a legendary faction.

The Bloodline is arguably the greatest faction in WWE’s history. Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn dominated the company for multiple years.

However, the group officially split after WrestleMania 40, with Sikoa forming his own version of The Bloodline.

At Survivor Series last year, Sikoa’s faction squared off with Roman Reigns’ reunited OG Bloodline and CM Punk in a WarGames match that ended with victory for The OTC1’s team.

On RAW’s debut episode on Netflix, Reigns and Sikoa battled again in a one-on-one match for the Ula Fala and Tribal Chief Status. Again, the former Undisputed WWE Champion emerged victorious.

While Reigns and his Wiseman Paul Heyman remained together, The Usos and Zayn went their separate ways.

The Bloodline Allegedly Ended When Paul Heyman Betrayed Roman Reigns At WWE WrestleMania 41

Although Paul Heyman stood in CM Punk’s corner at WrestleMania 41 as The Best in the World fought Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, he was still the latter’s Wiseman. Nevertheless, the match saw the WWE Hall of Famer betray both Punk and Reigns.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts claimed that Heyman’s betrayal ended The Bloodline. He pointed out that although The OTC1 returned last Monday and embraced his cousin, Jey Uso, on RAW, their story is no longer connected to the faction.

When Paul Heyman turned on Roman, that was the end. That was the cutoff point. That was the end of any connection to what was The Bloodline. And you could say, well, you know, he came back now and he embraced Jey Uso. But Jey Uso is his own man.

You know, I mean the effects of The Bloodline are always going to linger. Everybody who came in contact with The Bloodline is now different because of how powerful that story was. But ultimately, The Bloodline is over and the cleanup, the post-Bloodline, you know, the afterlow of The Bloodline is also done.

And that’s why Roman comes back and he’s OTC1. That’s why I think, for me, the title of OTC1, first of all separates him from The Bloodline the same way that Solo’s group being called Solo’s MFTs separates that from The Bloodline. [6:01 onwards]

Roman Reigns is set to appear on the next two episodes of RAW. It would be interesting to see what’s next for the OTC1.
