Wrestling Legend Almost Quit WWE Hall Of Fame Over Donald Trump
One WWE Hall of Famer is no fan of Donald Trump.
Jesse Ventura blazed his own path in the world of professional wrestling and broke new ground when he became the Governor of Minnesota in 1999.
Ventura isn’t known to hold anything back whether it was his clashes with Vince McMahon over royalties, his attempts to create a wrestling union, or political affiliations and philosophy.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the veteran was asked whether he still had any political aspirations, and he quickly made it clear he had no love for fellow WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump.
“If had ballot access in all 50 states, and I were allowed in the debates, I’d be the next President of the United States. Right now.
I have an objection to one of these candidates. I object to him, and I can say him so you know who it is now. I can object to him because he is in the wrestling hall of fame. I’ve almost resigned from it on two or three occasions because of that.”
When it was put to Ventura that he’d appeared to get on with Trump in the past, he explained that things have changed.
“He ain’t the same man. He ain’t the same guy, and you learn more about people as time goes on.”
Jesse Ventura Returning To WWE
After making a surprising return to Raw in July, Jesse Ventura revealed he’s agreed a new deal with WWE.
The veteran explained that his relationship with the company had improved dramatically since Vince McMahon’s departure and he was more than happy to put pen to paper on a new Legends contract.
In recent weeks the likes of Victoria and Jacqueline Moore have signed similar contracts.
