Last-Minute Title Match Added To AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
The card for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is now complete.
On August 24, AEW and NJPW will again join forces for Forbidden Door, which will be held in the UK for the first time.
The stacked card will feature several huge title matches as well as an Unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage Match. In what’s sure to be a wild spectacle, Will Ospreay will team with Hiroshi Tanahashi, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi to face the Death Riders, Gabe Kidd, and the Young Bucks.
The match is expected to be Will Ospreay’s last in AEW for several months after the British star confirmed that he needs neck surgery.
Ahead of Forbidden Door, AEW has announced that it will return to Australia in February 2026 for Grand Slam. The event will be accompanied by a rare house show 24 hours later.

Elsewhere at the event, “Timeless” Toni Storm will put the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Athena, while “Hangman” Adam Page will defend the men’s championship against MJF.
In a hugely anticipated ‘Battle of Britain,’ Nigel McGuinness will challenge Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
