Lacey Evans Recalls Returning To WWE Just 6 Weeks After Giving Birth

Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans has reflected on returning to training in a WWE ring just six weeks after giving birth to her second child.

In early 2021, Lacey Evans was embroiled in a storyline with Charlotte Flair where she had turned Ric Flair against his own daughter and aligned with him on screen. The storyline did not play out as intended however as Evans announced she was pregnant and would therefore have to take time away from the ring.

Lacey Evans gave birth to her and her husband’s second child in October 2021 before she returned to WWE screens six months later in April 2022. However, speaking on the 2 Lies 1 Truth podcast with Brandi Rhodes, Evans revealed that she actually returned to the company a lot sooner than that:

“It’s been different, emotionally. You know, when I started with WWE, I had a child, she was very young, but she was not six weeks old. So not many people know this. But I actually went back, I was at the PC, training, six weeks to the day postpartum.”

“It was difficult, more so emotionally, it was — even still now, you know when you’re breastfeeding, and you’re raising this tiny baby that needs you every second. That was the hardest part, I think, it is the hardest part is her being so young and needing me on such an intimate level. So I just have to make it work.”
