Lacey Evans No Longer In WWE

Lacey Evans’ time in WWE has come to an end.

Lacey Evans made a name for herself on the NXT brand as The Sassy Southen Belle before she moved up to the main roster in 2019. Evans found herself embroiled in a feud with Charlotte Flair at the beginning of 2021 with Ric Flair in Evans’ corner. However, that storyline was abandoned when Evans became pregnant and she spent the next 14 months out of action before returning in June 2022.

However, since that return, Evans has been plagued by start-stop booking and has only competed on WWE television six times in 2023. The former Marine has courted controversy in the past with her social media posts and became embroiled in a bizarre spat with WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter after she began wearing a drill instructor’s hat as well as using the Cobra Clutch in her matches.

Lacey Evans is no more

The woman behind the gimmick, Macey Estrella-Kadlec, recently changed her Instagram account to include the words “FKA WWE Superstar Lacey Evans”, with FKA standing for “formerly known as” leading many to believe that her time in the company was up.

Now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has confirmed that Evans is no longer with WWE with the company themselves keeping quiet on the matter. Evans’ contract is believed to have expired rather than her being released by WWE but there have been warnings that cuts are coming in the company as the takeover by Endeavor looms ever larger.

According to a new report, Evans’ reduced TV time may have been down to the removal of Vince McMahon from Head of Creative.
