Lacey Evans Fires Back At Sgt. Slaughter, Calls Herself A “Real Marine”

Lacey Evans recently caused a stir when she debuted a new look on SmackDown which reminded many of WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter.

Lacey Evans was making her first appearance on SmackDown since back in March on the 2nd of June where she took on Zelina Vega for a spot in the women’s Money In The Bank match. In the end, Evans was unsuccessful and it was the LWO star who booked her place in the ladder match which will take place in London, England on July 1st.

However, plenty of fans took notice of Evans’ attire for the match, including drill sergeant’s hat, and noted the similarities to former WWE Champion, Sgt. Slaughter. However, not everybody was supportive of the tribute.

Sgt. Slaughter’s daughter took to social media to blast Evans, calling her a poser:

“No. This is NOT okay. @WWE Who the f*ck does @LaceyEvansWWE think she is?!? There’s only 1 @_SgtSlaughter, there’s only 1 Slaughter Daughter, and she’s just a poser.”

Slaughter then replied, warning Evans to keep an eye out since she’d obviously upset his daughter:

“Lookout @LaceyEvansWWE You’ve Got @_sgtdaughter P*ssed She’s One Tough MF’er I Know Jarhead I Trained Her & Like ME She Takes NO Prisoner’s ”There’s Only 2 Ways Out Of Camp Slaughter On YOUR Feet or In A Ditty Bag, An Itty, Bitty, Ditty Bag” YO JOE”

Lacey Evans then made clear her thoughts on the issue and alluded to the controversy surrounding Sgt. Slaughter and his lack of actual military career while Evans did serve in the Marines:

“Between your hips and her ‍ ability, the chances of anyone in your bloodline to put me in a bag is 0. When you birth someone who can carry your legacy or take me out, call me. Until then, salute me. Like the real Marine I am. Rah.”
