Major Update On LA Knight’s WWE Future After Getting Written Off TV
LA Knight has been written of TV.
The Megastar was attacked on the December 8, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw. In the main event of the show, he lost a singles match to Logan Paul after a masked assailant (later revealed as Austin Theory) interfered with a stomp on the announce table, allowing Paul’s frog splash win.
Post-match, The Vision ambushed Knight backstage. He fought back briefly but was overwhelmed. The brutal segment saw Reed and Paul hoist Knight onto a car roof, where Reed delivered a devastating Tsunami splash, leaving him motionless as medics loaded him into an ambulance.
WWE followed up on the December 15 edition of Monday Night Raw, announcing that he suffered a cracked sternum and other injuries because of the attack. Therefore, WWE has sidelined him indefinitely.
Since the incident took place, the wrestling world has been abuzz with speculation that the attack angle on WWE RAW was planned to halt LA Knight’s momentum. Many pointed fingers at HHH, accusing him of trying to bury Knight.
WWE Is Not Burying LA Knight
Howevere, Sean Ross Sapp debunked these rumors in a recent Fightful Select Q&A session. He made it clear that Knight’s absence is just a storyline, not any conspiracy against him.
Sapp made the same statement a few days ago, debunking all these rumors. But for some reason, fans still believe that there is something fishy going on.
“Man, I just don’t get this. He was booked to go to the finals of the John Cena tournament, and beat Jey Uso along the way. I can’t speak to his future outside of him having years left on his contract, but I don’t see it as a burial.
Not everyone can be the world champion at the same time. I think this is the type of reaction WWE wants to conjure up, and I’ve been saying that since August. He’s off until 2026 at least.”
