LA Knight’s Actions Can Lead To Trouble With WWE Management

LA Knight US Champion WWE YEah

LA Knight admits that sometimes he does things that might upset WWE management, but he also wants them to trust his instincts.

It was over 100 days ago when LA Knight beat Logan Paul to win the United States Title at SummerSlam.

For Knight, that title win was a huge accomplishment since he had been in WWE for a few years, became one of the most popular wrestlers in the company, challenged for the WWE Championship on multiple occasions and finally he was able to win singles gold in WWE.

Throughout his career, there have been stories about Knight as somebody who had issues off-screen while others might call him misunderstood because of how he goes about things.

While speaking to SPORTbible, LA Knight admitted that sometimes he gets in trouble with management.

“Sometimes I get myself in trouble because I like to work a little more off the cuff and sometimes they [WWE management] like a little structure.

I try to meet them in the middle on that and for me, I want to listen and react instead of thinking of all this prefab. It didn’t feel right to me. If I want to be as authentic as I can be and connect with everybody out there, I need to listen. Instead of going out there pre-planned, just being able to be authentically me has been a godsend.

Sometimes I have to meet them in the middle but for the most part, they’re like, ‘We’ll let you do your thing but just don’t push it.'”

LA Knight Continuing To Work Hard As United States Champion

At the WWE Crown Jewel PLE, LA Knight successfully defended the US Title against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. During the match, Knight slipped while jumping to the top rope before hitting a suplex. Knight addressed it after the show.

“Thankfully, it was more inner-thigh that caught that. What’s crazy is, I overshot the hell out of that. You see my heel slip, bop, there it went. That stuff happens.

Instead of me whining, crying, complaining about it. You know what’s going to happen? Instead of celebrating, probably for the next three or four days, I’m going to be in a ring and I’m going to be doing three to five sets of ten and hitting that thing over and over again.

I’m a little hot about it when I think about it. At the same time, recovery, ended up working out. At the end of the day, still walking out with my United States Champion.”

Fans will have to tune into WWE SmackDown to find out who will next challenge Knight for the US Title.
