LA Knight Loses United States Title At WWE Survivor Series
LA Knight’s 119-day United States Title reign is over.
The ever-popular LA Knight had considered himself a fighting champion since winning the United States Title at SummerSlam. In contrast to the man he dethroned Logan Paul, Knight was keen to notch up the title defences, putting the gold on the line six times before Survivor Series.
After seeing off the likes of Andrade and Carmelo Hayes, Knight’s next challenger arrived from left field with the return of Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura attacked Knight two weeks in a row before beating Andrade on the eve of Survivor Series.
LA Knight Defeated
When the pair finally met at Survivor Series, it was Knight who started the stronger, controlling the early going. However, things flipped thanks to a back elbow from the challenger.
After avoiding a Kinshasa, Knight tried to hit back with the BFT, but Nakamura rolled onto the metal plate between the two rings — a quirk of having the bout in between two WarGames matches. Knight followed by Nakamura raked the eyes and hit a reverse DDT before following up with the Kinshasa for the win.
Nakamura is now a three-time United States Champion, having first won the title back in 2018.
Elsewhere on the show, Roman Reigns led the OG Bloodline to victory over Solo Sikoa and co inside WarGames.
