LA Knight Given Special Role For WWE Grudge Match

LA Knight WWE US Champion

LA Knight will be in a different role when two top WWE SmackDown stars try to settle their issues.

Since winning the United States Title at SummerSlam, LA Knight has been a proud champion who has willingly defended the gold against anybody who comes after him.

Two of the men that LA Knight has beaten in US Title matches are Andrade and Carmelo Hayes with both of those matches coming on recent episodes of Smackdown.

Andrade and Hayes have had a rivalry that has lasted several months with both men winning three matches in their series. They are now set for a “Game 7” to settle the rivalry.

On WWE SmackDown in Columbia, SC, Andrade and Hayes were about to be interviewed together, but instead, they got into a fight. General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the “Game 7” match between Andrade and Hayes will happen on the October 25th episode of Smackdown in Brooklyn.

Aldis also announced that there would be a special referee for the Andrade-Hayes match and that referee will be the US Champion LA Knight.

LA Knight said he’s beaten both guys so this isn’t some match where the winner will get a shot at the US Title. Knight said he’ll be the best referee WWE has ever seen because that’s the role he’s been given. Knight made it clear to Andrade & Melo that he was going to call it down the middle.

The Four Greatest Pro Wrestlers Ever According To LA Knight

During a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, LA Knight named the four greatest pro wrestlers ever.

“I can’t name one. For me it’s always been four — four who kind of tie for it. So it’s going to be Austin, Rock, Hogan and Flair.”

“Let go of whatever all the personal outside stuff is because for me, I don’t agree with a lot of the stuff that the latter two have been doing as far as the craziness in their personal lives, but from a professional level as performers in the ring and in this business, Austin, Rock, Flair, Hogan, 100% hands down.”
