LA Knight Takes Aim At Gunther Before Huge WWE Finals Match
LA Knight has plenty to say about Gunther before they clash for their chance to have a special place in WWE history.
John Cena will compete for the final time at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, and his opponent on that night has almost been decided.
A 16-man Last Time Is Now tournament was made, with the winner getting the chance to book their place in history as Cena’s final opponent. Following the December 1st edition of Raw, that field of 16 has been whittled down to just 2, with LA Knight and Gunther set to clash in the final.
And LA Knight is going on the offensive before he gets in the ring with The Ring General.
LA Knight Looking For Another Feather In His Cap
Speaking on the Raw Recap, LA Knight took exception to Gunther being called an “unstoppable force,” as he eyes up another upset win to move on to John Cena’s final match:
You talk about the unstoppable force, this, that, whatever… I don’t want to take anything away from him, everybody sees what he does, he’s super tough. You talk about Solo Sikoa, extra tough. You’re talking about two guys who have hurt a lot of people and have done a lot of damage around this place. But at the same time, when I hear that, I start to get just slightly offended.
I know you don’t mean it that way, but I hear it that way, because I’m like ‘Oh, he’s an unstoppable force? Well who’s talking like that about me?’ So with that thought, then I start thinking ‘Hold on, let’s rewind a little bit, let’s look at the history, let’s look at what’s happened, let’s look at the things I’ve done and have gone through.’ Look, what GUNTHER has over me, the World Heavyweight Championship, I haven’t done that yet.
You’ve got a guy who’s got more credentials than I do, and you’re talking about, not only could I go in there and beat what you call an unstoppable force, beating another former world champion like I did tonight, that’s another feather in the cap there.
