LA Knight Added To WWE SummerSlam Card

WWE has been listening to the fans as LA Knight has now been added to the SummerSlam card.

SummerSlam 2023 takes place at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 5th with a stacked card for WWE’s biggest party of the summer.

Roman Reigns will put his WWE Universal Championship, as well as his role as Tribal Chief, on the line in Tribal Combat against Jey Uso as The Bloodline saga continues to dominate SmackDown. Cody Rhodes will also look to end his own issues with Brock Lesnar as the two stars face off once again in a rubber match with Rhodes already hinting that the winner of that match could be next in line for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

That title will also be on the line as Seth Rollins defends his title against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Asuka will put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against both Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair while Becky Lynch looks to end her ongoing problems with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

Now on SmackDown on Friday night, WWE announced a Battle Royal for SummerSlam sponsored by Slim Jim. LA Knight will no doubt be the favourite for the match as he was one of two stars announced for the bout alongside Sheamus. Sheamus has taken issue with LA Knight’s popularity in recent weeks, berating the people’s choice on social media. Those two men will do battle on SmackDown on the night before SummerSlam takes place.

Who else joins LA Knight on the WWE SummerSlam card?

The Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line at SummerSlam as GUNTHER defends his gold against Drew McIntyre. Ronda Rousey could well be lacing up her boots for the last time as she seeks revenge on her old friend and former tag team partner Shayna Baszler while Logan Paul will return to action in what is sure to be a high-flying contest against Ricochet.
