Kurt Angle Believes Triple H Has The Best Mind For Pro Wrestling
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has explained why he thinks Triple H has the best mind for pro wrestling today.
Kurt Angle and Triple H have a storied history which saw the pair clashing in the ring several times during the Olympic Gold Medallist’s time in WWE. These included memorable matches at the 2001 Royal Rumble and No Way Out in 2002. The pair also became involved in a love triangle story where Angle attempted to win over Triple H’s wife, Stephanie McMahon.
After Kurt Angle returned to WWE in 2017, he went on to battle Triple H one last time as he teamed with Ronda Rousey to take on The Game and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34.
Speaking on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, the multi-time World Champion was asked who he believed has the best mind in the business today. He named Triple H, explaining that WWE’s Chief Content Officer gets wrestling from every point of view.
“For me personally, Triple H. He’s always had it. Not just from a wrestling standpoint, but from a creative standpoint, from a psychology standpoint, from a promo standpoint. Triple H is one guy that is well-educated, he loves pro wrestling like it’s his wife [laughs].
“He cherishes it, and he’s really good at it. He has a great mind for it.”
Angle went on to say that, in the past, he would have named Hulk Hogan as he was able to draw fans even when wrestling as a whole wasn’t doing well.
“In the past, I would say somebody like Hulk Hogan, who was able to bring the fans in at a time where wrestling was not so hot, but Hulkamania actually made wrestling so much bigger.
“He has a great mind for the business as well. I worked with Hulk Hogan, and he definitely is well-educated with the wrestling aspect.”
