Kurt Angle Reveals He Was Offered To Manage Former WWE Superstar
Since stepping away from a full-time wrestling schedule, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has taken on various roles within the industry, including serving as an on-screen General Manager and working backstage. However, one opportunity Angle has yet to explore is that of being a talent manager.
In an episode of “The Kurt Angle Show,” the Olympic gold medallist shared his interest in potentially managing another wrestler. Angle emphasised that the right storyline and financial offer would be crucial factors in his decision to take on such a role.
I’m happy doing what I’m doing, but would I consider managing? Yeah, it would have to be the right thing, it would have to be the right deal, the right program and not only that but the money has to be right.
The former WWE Champion then disclosed that WWE had approached him a few years ago about managing Matt Riddle. Angle expressed regret that the opportunity did not come to fruition due to financial disagreements.
I will tell you this, I feel a little bad about doing this but a few years ago, WWE wanted me to manage Matt Riddle and I was into it, we would have had great chemistry, but it didn’t happen unfortunately because they didn’t offer me the right amount of money.
While Angle refrained from criticising WWE, he acknowledged his disappointment over the situation.
I mean not to say anything bad about the company, but it was like okay, I was kind of kicked in the nuts.
He admitted.

Kurt Angle spoke about how he struggled with feeling old when he returned to WWE for his retirement run. Angle said that he knew fans could tell that he was older and not the same wrestler that he once was in his prime.
