Kurt Angle Names His “Greatest WWE Superstar Of All Time”

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has named his pick for the title of “greatest WWE Superstar of all time,” picking someone he’s very familiar with.

Kurt Angle has seen and done it all during his wrestling career. The Olympic gold medallist made it to the top of both WWE and TNA during his time competing and has shared the ring with everyone from The Rock, Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, and Shawn Michaels, to Sting, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles.

Speaking on The Bubba Army, Kurt Angle named one of his former rivals as the greatest WWE star ever, picking someone who’s achievements in WWE dwarf everybody else named:

“[John] Cena, greatest WWE Superstar of all time. He’s the one with 16 world titles, all WWE titles, no one else has done that.”

John Cena and Kurt Angle famously first crossed paths in June 2002 when a rookie Cena answered Angle’s open challenge on SmackDown with his own brand of ruthless aggression.

The two men clashed for Cena’s WWE Championship at Survivor Series in 2005 and it was at Survivor Series in 2017 that the men shared the ring for – presumably – the final time when they faced off on opposite sides of a Raw vs. SmackDown ten-man elimination tag team match.
