Kurt Angle Lands Movie With UFC Legend

Kurt Angle on the mic

Kurt Angle has revealed details of an upcoming movie project with a UFC Hall Of Famer.

Over the years, the Olympic Gold Medallist has been in multiple action movies, most recently 2015’s The Last Witch Hunter where he appeared as a bodyguard.

During the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the star spoke on his new project, The Ranch, which will also feature UFC legend Randy Couture.

“They haven’t decided a definite date yet, but it will be within the next six weeks. I have a movie I’m going to be shooting. It’s called The Ranch. Randy Couture is going to star in it with me. We’re going to be brothers.”

The WWE Hall of Famer went into more detail on the plot, which will see him as the “scumbag” brother while Couture is a war hero, although Angle joked it should be the other way around.

“It’s a movie about a ranch. Randy is a war hero and I’m the scumbag brother. I’m Mr. Red, White, and Blue. Why am I not the war hero? (he laughs).

Angle noted he will be working with Michael Tadross, an influential figure in Hollywood. Tadross has been a producer for over three decades and worked on movies such as The Devil’s Advocate, Hitch, and Ocean’s Eight.

“It’s a good movie. We’re working with Michael Tadross. If you don’t know who he is, look him up. You’ll see he’s a really big-time Hollywood producer. I’m excited about doing this with Randy. I haven’t done a major motion picture in eight or nine years, so this is really cool.”

Kurt Angle Recalls Teaching Nigel McGuiness In TNA

Kurt Angle recently discussed working with Nigel McGuiness during his time in TNA. At the time, the AEW Commentator was wrestling under the name Desmond Wolfe and had a heated rivalry with Angle.

While Angle enjoyed working with the star, he revealed that he had to give him some pointers on ring psychology, especially when it came to the difference between working as a babyface and heel.
