Kurt Angle Calls Shawn Michaels “The Best Overall Entertainer In Wrestling History”
Kurt Angle has named Shawn Michaels as the man he believes is the greatest overall entertainer in the history of wrestling.
The WWE Hall of Famer made the claim on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show (available via Ad Free Shows) when discussing his time in the ring with HBK. He brought up the 30-minute Iron Man Match the two had on Raw back in 2005.
During the episode, Angle explained the attributes he felt made Michaels so good to work with.
“He is not stiff, you don’t even feel it. He barely touches you, that’s what makes him such a pro. I don’t know if he’s ever stiffed anybody, Shawn is that good. He’s able to gage shots, punches, kicks. His athleticism in the ring, he’s unbelievable. He does things that nobody else can do and he’s the jack of all trades.”
The Olympic Gold Medallist went on to say that ‘The Showstopper’ was the best overall entertainer in wrestling history, saying he was in a class of his own compared to other greats like Ric Flair and Eddie Guerrero.
“Across the board, he’s the best overall entertainer in the history of wrestling. Ric Flair is up there, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Jericho too, especially late in his career the way he’s going. Shawn is probably in a class of his own.”
Previously on the podcast, Kurt Angle has reflected on how he and Shawn Michaels were able to put their WrestleMania 21 classic together themselves. He also said that match was the single biggest payday of his wrestling career.
