Kris Statlander Makes Death Riders Decision On AEW Dynamite
Kris Statlander has finally come clean on her affiliation with the Death Riders in AEW.
At a much simpler time in AEW, a group of Best Friends stuck together through thick and thin. Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Orange Cassidy, Kris Statlander, Wheeler Yuta, and Danhausen were beloved by fans, but things eventually turned sour.
Trent turned on the group to join The Don Callis Family, Chuckie T suffered what could be a career-ending injury, Wheeler Yuta abandoned his friends to join the Blackpool Combat Club, Danhausen disappeared, and Kris Statlander turned to the dark side as her own friendship with Willow Nightingale fell apart.
Years later, Kris Statlander found herself being recruited for the Death Riders as Wheeler Yuta tried to make up for his own past mistakes. Yuta has been getting in Statlander’s head in recent weeks, and when Statlander used his seatbelt pin to win the AEW Women’s World Championship at All Out, it looked like a reunion was inevitable.
Kris Statlander Rejects The Death Riders
Now, on the September 24th edition of Dynamite, Kris Statlander has finally made her decision. Statlander put her title on the line against Mina Shirakawa in the night’s main event. Again, Yuta was on hand to try and give Statlander advice, and again she used his seatbelt pin to win the match and retain her gold.
Harley Cameron came to the ring to celebrate the win but they were soon joined by Wheeler Yuta and this time, the rest of the Death Riders. Yuta and Statlander embraced and he raised her hand but the Death Riders soon found out they weren’t getting everything their own way as Statlander laid out Yuta with a huge clothesline. Statlander then evaded an attack from Marina Shafir, flipped off Moxley and made her escape through the crowd with Cameron.
After that, Darby Allin appeared with a flamethrower and issued an ‘I Quit’ match challenge to Moxley for WrestleDream.
