Kota Ibushi Says There Is “Zero Chance” He Will Sign Full-Time With WWE
WWE Cruiserweight Classic standout Kota Ibushi spoke with Tokyo Sports about his recent stint with WWE. Ibushi will be taking part in this year’s second annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and his teammate will be Hideo Itami.
With a successful showing during the Cruiserweight Classic and now sticking around for the Tag Team Classic, Tokyo Sports asked Ibushi if he planned on signing a full-time deal with WWE. Ibushi responded to this by saying that the chance of that happening “is zero. Absolutely no.”
Ibushi said that he hopes his time in WWE will help build a bridge between WWE and the Japanese wrestling industry. Ibushi concluded that his goal is to open the door for more Japanese wrestlers to get an opportunity in WWE in the future.
Here are more comments from Ibushi.
