Konnan Critical Of The Firm Being Involved In Moxley-MJF Story
Konnan is not a fan of The Firm faction being involved in the Jon Moxley-MJF AEW World Championship storyline.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley ended the show with a defense of his AEW World Championship, scoring a victory over Penta El Zero Miedo. Konnan, a veteran in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and former New World Order (NWO) faction member, expressed his views about the segment that happened after the fact.
After retaining his All Elite Wrestling (AEW) World Championship, Moxley would get jumped by The Firm. Beforehand, MJF was very particular in his orders to the faction to not touch Moxley, and with them not following the rules, the “Devil” fired the group from his presence. To take us to the closing AEW credit, MJF was taken out by The Firm, being slammed through a table.
Recently on the “Keepin’ it 100” podcast, Konnan reviewed the segment, saying that The Firm being involved with the Jon Moxley-MJF storyline watered it down. Konnan would go on to call everyone involved with the segment “jabronis.”
“Why bro? If Moxley and MJF already have enough heat, they’re gonna have good promos, they’re gonna have a good match. Why are you sticking these guys [The Firm] in here? They all come off as jabronis. There was no heat, which is, well I’m sure they didn’t expect that and it felt unnecessary and forced. You know what I’m saying? I thought that was very badly done.”
