Kofi Kingston Unrepentant After WWE Raw Betrayal

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston shake hands on WWE Raw

Kofi Kingston says he simply told the truth.

On the December 2nd edition of Raw, The New Day celebrated their tenth anniversary, but when all was said and done, there was little for fans to cheer.

With all three men in the ring, Big E acknowledged the recent tensions between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. In search of a solution, E suggested he could become their manager, helping them rediscover their mojo and climb back to the top. However, Woods and Kingston were in no mood to hear from their friend.

The pair claimed Big E had turned his back on them since getting injured, saying that Steve Austin and Kurt Angle returned after breaking their necks so why hadn’t he? Woods told him to stop lying to himself and his fans, and just admit he’d never be cleared to return.

Despite the hostility, Big E tried to embrace the duo, but they were having none of it, leaving him to head backstage alone.

Kofi Kingston Has No Regrets

During an appearance on the Chase & Big Joe Show, Kingston stood by his and Woods’ actions and comments on Raw. The star remained adamant that all they’d done was tell the truth, even if people didn’t want to hear it.

“I am surprised that most of these people out here don’t really understand why we did what we did. We came out there, and you can always tell when you’re right when you make an argument and you say nothing but facts. Everything we said on Monday night was completely factual. We told the truth.

You might not like to hear what it was, but people online and social media are cussing and cursing us and there are all these insults that have nothing to do with what we’re talking about. I know that when you can’t bring a rational argument to the table, that means you know that you’re wrong.

If you don’t have any facts for the argument. Just because you’re upset doesn’t mean you’re right,”

Following Raw, Big E’s girlfriend fired shots at both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods calling them “ungrateful crybaby ass bitches.”

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Big E could be a free agent within weeks, despite playing such a big role in the segment on Raw. The report noted that the former World Champion hasn’t had any injury time added to the five-year contract he signed back in 2019. That means that unless he’s very quietly signed a new deal, Big E will be a free agent at the end of the year.
