KnokX Pro Academy Issues Statement In Response To Raja Jackson Incident
Raja Jackson attacked Stuart Smith on August 23.
During a KnokX Pro event on August 23, Raja Jackson jumped into the ring after Stuart Smith, performing as Syko Stu, had competed in a match.
Jackson stormed the ring from where he’d been sitting at ringside. Jackson took out Stu with a version of a double-legged takedown, which appeared to knock him out. With Stu down, Jackson adopted a mount position and delivered a series of punches with the former unable to defend himself.
It was subsequently reported that Stu had sustained serious injuries, while Rampage Jackson condemned his son’s actions. Rampage noted in a statement that Stu was “awake and stable.”
The angle had been planned and agreed upon in advance, but Jackson took matters into his own hands.
Promotion Responds To Raja Jackson Incident
In a short statement on social media, KnokX Pro — A WWE ID wrestling school — described the incident as “reprehensible” and an “irresponsible act of violence.”
“First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with our brother Mr. Stuart Smith (Syko Stu) as he remains a priority and we are monitoring his well being.
What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith. This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred.
In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologize to our patrons and fans.”
WWE star Rusev later posted a message of support for Smith, whom he said he’s known for 15 years.
Everyone at TJR Wrestling would like to send their best wishes to Stuart Smith and his family. Widely circulated footage of the incident hasn’t been featured in this article out of respect for Smith and his family and friends.
