The Key Difference Between Seth Rollins Hate For CM Punk & Roman Reigns
Seth Rollins has explained the difference in his issues with Roman Reigns and CM Punk as he admits he has a seed of love for one of them.
Seth Rollins hates CM Punk. CM Punk hates Seth Rollins. For WWE fans, so far this has made for wildly entertaining television and matches. Seth Rollins used his hatred to cost Punk a shot at the WWE Title at WrestleMania 41 as he delivered a Stomp at the Elimination Chamber which allowed John Cena to lock in the STF that gave Cena the win.
On the March 3 edition of Raw, you better believe CM Punk was not happy. CM Punk lashed out at “bald frauds” The Rock and John Cena after they shockingly joined forces and left Cody Rhodes battered, bloodied, and injured in the ring.
But someone else wanted Punk’s attention. Seth Rollins appeared and a fight broke out that went all over the arena. Eventually, a Steel Cage match was made for the following week’s show where they might settle their differences once and for all.
Seth Rollins Still Loves Roman Reigns
But CM Punk is not the only man Seth Rollins has issues with. Rollins and Roman Reigns have been on opposite sides for most of the decade after Rollins smashed a chair into Reigns’ back in 2014. Their issues came into sharp focus again at WrestleMania 40 when Rollins was the man who proved pivotal in helping Cody Rhodes finish his story and defeat Reigns for the WWE Title.
But as many fans suspect, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns’ problems stem from the fact that underneath it all they still love each other.
Speaking on the first edition of the WWE Raw Recap podcast, Seth Rollins admitted he had a seed of love for Roman Reigns as he spelt out the difference between his feelings for his old Shield partner and CM Punk:
There’s love for Roman Reigns. Do I agree with what he stands for? Absolutely not, absolutely not. But there’s a seed of love in there somewhere. And that makes it more painful when I get in there and do what I have to do to him.
With CM Punk, there is no seed of love. That is gone. He erased that a long time ago. So it’s pure unadulterated hatred. That’s all I have for him.
