Key Reason Roman Reigns Must Win WarGames For His WWE Team
Roman Reigns will compete in WarGames.
WWE has been building the 10-person team match for a couple of weeks, and before the main event showdown, both men’s teams had four members each.
On the babyface side, it was CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso, whereas on the heel team, it was Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre.
Earlier in the night, Paul Heyman handed RAW GM Adam Pearce a folder revealing the name of the final member of his team, looking at which Pearce did not look happy.
During the main event, that person was revealed as Brock Lesnar. Lesnar made his impact felt soon, as he took out Punk and Rhodes by hitting multiple German suplexes on both world champions.
Just when it looked like he had things within his grasp, Roman Reigns’ music hit to a huge pop from the audience at Madison Square Garden.
The Tribal Chief made his way to the ring and knocked Lesnar out with a Superman Punch. He also brawled with Reed, who endured a similar fate as Lesnar.
After the security and police intervened, Reigns hit a Spear on Reed, sending him through the barricade.
Why Roman Reigns Must Win WarGames
Sam Roberts of Notsam Wrestling discussed the events of Monday Night RAW on his podcast.
Explaining Roman Reigns’ return, he stated it was important for the 40-year-old to win the match for his team because a lot is at stake for him.
Roman Reigns winning this match for his team makes a lot of sense because it starts pushing forward this idea that Roman is back. Roman, now, can feel like he is better than anybody on his own team that he has a problem with. I mean, you know, I think as much as a four-year…almost four-year title run will do for somebody, sometimes you have to remind people who you’re dealing with, and I think that’s the case that we have with Roman Reigns here.
