Kevin Owens Throws WWE Future In Serious Doubt
Kevin Owens has addressed his future in WWE while admitting that he doesn’t know what might happen next.
It has been a tough time for former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens since attacked his good friend Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood after the show was over. Owens also attacked another ally Randy Orton during the October 11th edition of SmackDown.
While Kevin Owens didn’t appear on WWE Smackdown in Columbia in person, he did appear via video message that he posted on his X/Twitter account.
In his video message, Owens spoke about how he’s been a part of WWE for over ten years. Owens said that he doesn’t think things have ever felt as bad as they do right now. Owens mentioned that WWE Officials told him not to come to Smackdown and he said it was unfair and ridiculous. Owens talked about the crazy things that WWE superstars have done to eachother over the years, but he gets told to stay away because he dropped the “golden boy” (Cody Rhodes) outside of his “stupid bus.”
After Owens said it makes him ask himself how appreciated and valued he is by this company, he addressed Randy Orton as well. Owens and Orton were tag team partners multiple times over the last few months, so they had bonded as veteran leaders on the WWE roster.
“I would have never done that to you [Orton]. I thought what we had was different. I can’t believe you picked Cody Rhodes over me.”
To end the message, Owens said with everything that is happening with him right now between Cody and Randy, he doesn’t know if or when he can come back.
Also on SmackDown, Randy Orton told General Manager Nick Aldis that he wanted a match with Owens at the Crown Jewel PLE. Aldis said he can’t do it because it was coming from up above, which was a reference to WWE bosses. Orton said he knows who to talk to, which was likely a reference to the WWE Chief Content Officer and former Orton ally/rival, Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Has Kevin Owens Agreed To New WWE Contract?
While the Kevin Owens saga will continue to play out on WWE television, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote this week about how some people believe that Owens has already agreed to a new WWE contract months ahead of when it was going to expire.
“Regarding Owens and his contract, there are a lot of different stories going around. There are reports that he’s close to signing, or hasn’t signed, could go to AEW in January when his deal is up.
I do know that multiple people in wrestling have said dating back to Bash in Berlin that they believed he’s signed but it’s being kept quiet, but that’s wrestling rumors that we haven’t been able to directly confirm.
Those closest to the situation have not said anything about any of the different versions of the story out and very clearly whatever the story is, he wants it secretive for now.”
Earlier this year, Kevin Owens spoke about his 6’8″ son Owen stepping into a WWE ring for the first time with Owens stating that this would be the best possible place to start if his son wants to pursue a career as a pro wrestler like his father.
