Kevin Owens Issues WWE Elimination Chamber Challenge

Kevin Owens is ready to fight one of his best friends at WWE Elimination Chamber in his home country of Canada.

There has been a change for Kevin Owens since the fall of 2024 when he unloaded on his good friend Cody Rhodes in a shocking backstage attack.

After attacking Rhodes, Owens also decided to attack Randy Orton backstage even though the two men teamed up many times and became great friends.

Both of those rivalries escalated to the point where Owens hit the dreaded Package Piledriver on Orton on the November 8th edition of SmackDown. Orton hasn’t been seen on WWE television in the three months since that attack.

Rhodes also felt the wrath of Owens with a Package Piledriver, but Rhodes was able to come back and beat Owens in a brutal Ladder Match at the Royal Rumble.

During that Ladder Match, Sami Zayn made his way ringside to check on his best friend Owens and his good friend Rhodes. Owens mentioned in the past that he wanted Zayn to help him win, but instead, Zayn watched as Rhodes won the match.

Zayn lost a tough match to CM Punk on the February 3rd edition of Raw after the Royal Rumble. That’s when Kevin Owens showed up again with a cheap attack on Zayn that ended with a Package Piledriver on his best friend.

Kevin Owens Challenges Sami Zayn To A Match At WWE Elimination Chamber

Since the attack from Owens, Zayn has been quiet until he posted a video that aired on WWE SmackDown in Washington, D.C. In the video, Zayn said that his neck isn’t doing too well and he has nerve damage while also seeing specialists. Zayn said that the last couple of weeks have been tough to come to terms with everything that happened between Kevin Owens and himself.

Zayn said that it’s almost a joke every time Owens has turned on him. Zayn said that this is different because the Package Piledriver was done to try to end his career. Zayn mentioned checking on Owens when he was motionless and Zayn said that meant he was being there for Owens. Zayn said that Owens wanted Sami to help Owens beat Cody in a match. Zayn said that they see things differently. Zayn said he doesn’t know when he is cleared, but when he is they will go again and it’s not going to be fun.

Later in the show, Kevin Owens was in the car doing a promo saying he had his heart broken in the last six months and three guys (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn) stabbed him in the back. Owens said he would have taken a bullet for them.

Owens said that Sami Zayn doesn’t know what real pain is. Owens said that if they want to go again then he can’t think of a better place except for where it all started for them in Canada. Owens said cleared or not, he didn’t care and Owens said at Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Owens wanted Zayn to come find him and then he’ll know pain.

The match hasn’t been made official, but with Elimination Chamber taking place in two weeks time on March 1st there is time for WWE to make it happen.
