A new report has indicated that Kevin Owens is still battling an injury despite him being able to compete in WarGames at Survivor Series.

It was reported on November 14th that Kevin Owens suffered a knee injury during a live event match against Austin Theory. While the extent of the damage done to Owens’ knee remained unknown, he was a doubt to be at Survivor Series but was eventually unveiled as The Brawling Brutes’ and Drew McIntyre’s partner for WarGames against The Bloodline.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has now noted that despite Owens’ participation in the match, he’s still hurt:

“Owens’ knee held up but I wasn’t sure by the end of the match. Owens’ knee held up but he’s still hurt too. He got through the match and he worked the house show [on Sunday] and he worked the Raw [last night]. He’s okay to work which is really good because two weeks ago, there was a lot of concern that he could be out for a while. Luckily, he dodged that bullet.”

Avoiding major injury will be even more of a blessing for Kevin Owens with reports saying that he will be part of a major match at the 2023 Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas.
