Kevin Owens Feeling A Certain Way Going Into WrestleMania 41
Kevin Owens has given an update on how he is feeling before his WrestleMania 41 showdown with Randy Orton.
As a man who has competed at WrestleMania events regularly over the last decade and main evented two of them, Kevin Owens is absolutely a WrestleMania veteran.
At WrestleMania 41, Owens will face off against a long-term rival in Randy Orton, who was once an ally of Owens. That friendship ended in late 2024 when Owens attacked Orton. Owens also gave Orton a Package Piledriver that put Orton on the shelf for about four months.
It was revealed by Randy Orton after SmackDown last week that the Orton-Owens match will take place at WrestleMania 41 Saturday on April 19th.
While speaking to Cousin Sal on Against All Odds, Kevin Owens expressed optimism going into his WrestleMania 41 match, even though Orton has promised to give him the dreaded Punt kick.
“Wrestlers in general react weirdly to things that normal people would just call the authorities for. We just decide to make it way worse and that’s what we’re going to do at WrestleMania.
Him wanting to punt my head off notwithstanding, it’s actually a real thrill to be at WrestleMania against Randy Orton, a guy I looked up to and watched for so long. It’s just too bad I’m gonna have to put him in a wheelchair there.”
Injury Could Take Kevin Owens Out Of WrestleMania 41 Match
Kevin Owens has said it is a “real thrill” to be in a WrestleMania match with Randy Orton, but it has also been reported by CodyWhoadesPWN and shared by PWNReports that he might miss the show due to injury.
PWN has been told Kevin Owens is dealing with an undisclosed injury with no timetable set for a return to action. This puts Owens’ WrestleMania match vs Randy Orton in jeopardy with 15 days remaining until the show of shows.
Alternative plans for Orton have been discussed, but no pivot has been made for Orton yet. Owens’ last match came on March 1st at Elimination Chamber vs Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned match. Once more information is available, we will update the situation.
The April 4th edition of SmackDown from Chicago could lead to WWE giving an update on whether Owens will be able to compete at WrestleMania after all.
