Kevin Nash Recalls How Vince McMahon Felt About Tag Team Matches
Kevin Nash has recalled what Vince McMahon felt about tag team matches and how his opinion of them differed from his boss.
There have always been stories about how Vince McMahon didn’t value tag team wrestling as much as some wrestling promoters. For whatever reason, there have been times when the WWE tag team division had dark periods where they just didn’t have a lot of good teams.
With that said, there are still many legendary WWE tag teams such as The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, The Hart Foundation and some recent great tag teams like The New Day and the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos.
During his legendary career, Kevin Nash was known as Diesel in WWE and he was a two-time Tag Team Champion with Shawn Michaels known as Dudes With Attitudes. In WCW, he was a 9-time Tag Team Champion, mostly with Scott Hall in a team known as The Outsiders.
Kevin Nash had a lot of singles success as well with a year-long WWE Title reign along with five World Title reigns in WCW as well.
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash talked about Vince McMahon’s disdain for tag team wrestling on a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast.
“Vince always hated tag matches. He used to call them, ‘garnish’ and sh*t. I’m like, ‘Man, you can do so much f***ing good sh*t in a tag match.'”
