Kevin Nash Has Different Theory On The Rock WrestleMania Absence

The Rock on WWE Raw

Kevin Nash isn’t buying what The Rock is selling.

Despite being front and centre and giving the signal for John Cena to turn heel at Elimination Chamber, The Rock then disappeared. In fact, he was rarely mentioned on television, and hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since.

This absence meant he missed WrestleMania and Cena’s victory in the main event over Cody Rhodes. During the match, Travis Scott made a surprise appearance and seemingly teed up the arrival of The Great One, but it never arrived.

Following the event, The Rock claimed the story and event didn’t need him, so as a result, he stepped back.

The Rock’s Movie Schedule Changed Plans

During the episode of his Kilq This podcast, Kevin Nash looked back over WrestleMania weekend, and that included the Rock-shaped hole in the main event of night two. Instead of having anything to do with Cena or Rhodes, Nash believes Rock’s new movie project with Martin Scorsese meant he wasn’t allowed to be involved.

“Rock couldn’t show up because Rock was fu*cking filming a Scorsese film. The last time Rock f*cking showed up right before Hercules, he tore his f*cking bone off his pelvis, and he f*cking cost production 10 million dollars. Rock can say whatever he wants, ‘I didn’t want to f*ck up Cena’s f*cking moment.’ He didn’t have the option. Scorsese was not gonna let him.”

In the lead-up to WrestleMania, it was reported that The Rock will be starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt in a new movie about a legendary Hawaiian crime boss. The project will be written by Nick Bilton and directed by Martin Scorsese.
