Kevin Nash Admits Being “Stoned All The Time” In TNA
Working for TNA was a fun experience for Kevin Nash, who also admits that he had an interesting state of mind at the time.
Kevin Nash’s wrestling career saw him accomplish the most as WWE’s Diesel and later as a founding father of the New World Order group in WCW. Years after being a regular in both of those companies, Nash found himself as a TNA guy for many more years.
It was in 2004 when Nash debuted with TNA Wrestling. His most significant run was as part of the Main Event Mafia stable in 2008-09. However, by January 2011, Nash was ready to move on and he left the company and returned to WWE as part of the 2011 Royal Rumble along with Booker T.
While speaking on his Kliq This podcast about his TNA run, Kevin Nash admitted that he had fun while working there and it was also convenient for him since TNA was taped in Orlando and he lived in the state.
“I had a ball at TNA. When I had to wrestle, I worked hard. [Asked what the vibe was backstage] I was stoned all the time [laughs], I can’t really speak to…it was like 68 minutes from my house to the backlot.”
During his time in TNA, Nash didn’t win the company’s World Title but he did accomplish a lot while there.
Kevin Nash: “I Was Happy At TNA”
The time he spent in TNA was a good one for Nash because it was a steady job that paid him well and it didn’t require a lot of travel.
“I was happy at TNA. When you don’t have to get on an airplane to work for a company, I did house shows for them, we did some pay-per-views here and there, but it was so nice because you could do all your other bulls**t, too. You could do your side hustle, and it was like a good, solid, steady paycheck that covered your fundamentals, and anything you made after that was gravy.”
“Plus, you could do a movie, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, f**k, are they gonna give me the time off?’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, no problem.’ It was cool. It was come and go as you please, do your f**king gig. You’re not gonna make a million dollars, but….”
Regarding the current WWE product, Kevin Nash admitted he had issues with former US Champion Logan Paul about some of the things he has said about the pro wrestling business.
