Kevin Nash Reveals Which AEW Commentator He Is A

Kevin Nash, a prominent figure in both WCW and WWE, left an indelible mark on the wrestling world. His illustrious career saw him rise to stardom, with his matches narrated by some of the most iconic voices in wrestling commentary.

On an episode of his “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash reminisced about the legendary broadcasters who have called his matches and shared his thoughts on his favourites. Reflecting on his experiences, Nash said:

I always liked Tenay. I thought ‘The Professor’ was good. I liked Tony, Schiavone was good. I was a huge JR fan because I thought JR called it like a sport. I was always a fan of JR.

Nash’s appreciation for wrestling commentary was evident as he discussed the unique styles of these announcers. His admiration for Jim Ross stood out, with Nash praising JR’s ability to call matches with the seriousness of a sports event.

Nash’s reflections highlighted his deep respect for the art of wrestling commentary. He noted the different approaches each announcer brought to the table, emphasising how these voices added to the spectacle of his matches. Jim Ross, in particular, received high praise for his sport-like commentary, which resonated strongly with Nash. When asked about announcers who never had the chance to call his matches, Nash delved into the extensive list of voices he had worked with over the years.

Shit man, there aren’t many. I’ve had Gordon Solie call my matches, Lance Russell. I was there when Bobby [Heenan] left with the toilet paper hanging out of his back leaving ‘Superstars’ when he left for WCW. Joey [Styles] didn’t. Joey never called my match. Not that I can think of.

Nash went on to say he could have won the belt and then dropped it back to Triple H at the next Raw.
