Kevin Nash “Felt Bad” For Hulk Hogan During Panned WWE Appearance

Hulk Hogan on WWE Raw

Kevin Nash felt bad for Hulk Hogan.

During the January 6th edition of Monday Night Raw, the stars were out to celebrate the show’s debut on Netflix. With a host of celebrities watching on from ringside, the likes of The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan kicked off WWE’s new era.

However, Hulk Hogan’s appearance didn’t quite go to plan.

Appearing alongside Jimmy Hart who arrived with an American flag in hand, Hogan was heavily booed from the moment his music hit. Each line of his following promo was also met with loud disapproval while his attempts at the ever-reliable ‘cheap pop’ were met with jeers.

Kevin Nash Comments On Hulk Hogan’s WWE Return

Speaking on his Kilq This podcast, Kevin Nash gave his thoughts on Hogan’s unfortunate return and how he handled it. Nash disagreed with the idea that Hogan could have leaned into the reaction and cut a more heelish promo but said he felt bad for his friend who’s suffering with a series of major back issues.

“Hulk is beat up. He’s a tough motherf**cker. He sucked it up to come out and cut the promo, even though his back was killing him. I felt bad for him, but at least he got a reaction.

I saw the hardware they removed from his back. It was insane, the amount of screws and bolts they took out.”

Despite the backlash, Hogan is expected to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, Texas on January 25th.
