Kevin Nash Confronted Ex-WWE Star Over Spoof Faction

Kevin Nash Compares Controversial WWE Incident To United States National Tragedy

Kevin Nash left one ex-WWE star sweating before he confronted them over an imitation of him that caught on in another company.

Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan revolutionised the wrestling business when they formed the NWO in WCW in 1996. The group was the catalyst for WCW’s popularity taking off and setting the stage for the Monday Night Wars that dominated the late nineties.

However, the NWO quickly became watered down in WCW as it exploded in numbers, while splinter groups such as the LWO also appeared. In ECW, however, it was another group that borrowed everything from the NWO as Stevie Richards, The Blue Meanie, and Nova formed the Blue World Order.

Richards took on the role of Nash as Big Stevie Cool, Meanie pastiched Hall as Da Blue Guy, while Nova donned the bandana and grew out his stubble to become Hollywood Nova.

But when Stevie Richards made the jump from ECW to WCW, suddenly he was face-to-face with the men he’d been lampooning on another show.

Kevin Nash Took Delight In Torturing Stevie Richards

Speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards explained how the NWO reacted to the BWO and how Hall and Nash planned for him to have a very uncomfortable first day in WCW:

I never met these guys. Never met them, never talked to them, and Scott Hall, the entire first day I was there, was like “Dude, Kev’s looking for you. I would just do your thing and leave as quickly as possible.” Scott knew where my rental car was. So all day, Kevin, I didn’t even see because I thought if I see him, maybe I can talk to him and reason with him.

Kevin, he might not have been avoiding me, but if he was, he put a lot of effort into it to make me sweat it. I’m talking 20 times all day, Scott was finding me, “Hey bro, I’m telling you, you better hide.”

So right before I got to my rental car at the end of the night after the show. This is nighttime, but they have the spotlights from the satellite truck. So there’s like a beam of light on my car, and I’m trying to open the door and there’s a big shadow that comes up over the roof of the car and my head. I turn around and [Nash] goes, “Well, well, well, Big Stevie Cool, we meet at last.”

And he’s literally looking down at me. I’m like, “Kev, I’m just letting you know it was all out of respect.” And he goes, “Oh, was it? You really think so? You think you can talk your way out of this Big Stevie Cool?” He was leaning in on me and I’m like oh my god, my first night here, I’m gonna get fired and I’m gonna get beat up. I’m going to get in a fight I’m gonna lose and then I’m gonna get fired for being in a fight I have no chance of winning. This is great. Your entire wrestling life is flashing before your eyes.

Kev kind of goes “I’ll be seeing you around” and then hit my shoulder as hard as he could, or very lightly and he’s just that strong which is even more terrifying. He walks to his rental car and gets in it and goes “Hey Big Stevie Cool, come here.” I walk over and it feels like the green mile. I walk up to him, I go, “Kev, I’m so sorry…” And he goes, “Stop, I’m just messing with you.” I exhaled so much I felt like my body became a puddle. I almost felt like hugging him.

Kevin Nash wasn’t joking when he blasted critics of Hulk Hogan following the WWE Hall of Famer’s sudden passing at the age of 71.
