Kevin Nash Denies Backstage Issues With Ex-WWE Star
Kevin Nash says that an ex-WWE wrestler is spewing bulls**t about their past.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is known as one of the biggest men in pro wrestling history. Nash was a founding father of the NWO in WCW and part of The Kliq in WWE, which wasn’t recognized as a stable on television.
After debuting as Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard in WWE as Diesel, Kevin Nash quickly rose to the top of the company and reigned as WWE Champion for most of 1995. Although it wasn’t a great year business-wise for WWE, it was still impressive for somebody to hold the title for a full year as Nash did.
As a retired wrestler, Nash talks about the business (past and present) on his Kliq TV podcast. During a recent “Kliq This” episode, Nash and co-host Sean Oliver spoke about former WWE wrestler Bob “Hardcore” Holly claiming he threatened Nash. In Holly’s book, he claims that he approached Nash, who was WWE Champion at the time, and put his finger on Nash’s chin to make an “X” to tell Nash that Holly would hit him.
When Nash heard Holly’s claim, he refuted the story.
“You’re opening match, and you’re f**king with the champion, who’s also a member of the Kliq. How long do you think he’s got a job if he does that?”
According to Nash, he even mentioned the story to Holly in person.
“I actually asked Bob. I actually asked Bob about that, like, years later, we were on some indie show together. I said, Where’d you come up with that? I said, that never happened.”
What Does Kevin Nash Think Of Bob Holly?
Even though Bob Holly lied about Kevin Nash in his 2013 book, Nash praised Holly as a good guy.
“Bob’s a nice guy. But one of the, one of the funniest things is, is Bob and I never had a f**king problem.”
Bob Holly had a long run in WWE from 1994 to 2009. During those 15 years, he successfully re-invented himself from “Sparky Plugg” to “Hardcore,” and he went on to have an impressive career.
When talking about his career in WWE, Kevin Nash said he wished he had gotten to wrestle with CM Punk before Nash retired.
