Kevin Nash Compares His Era To WWE NXT

Kevin Nash Compares Controversial WWE Incident To United States National Tragedy

Kevin Nash’s time with WWE was unimaginably different from what the young superstars experience today, especially in WWE NXT. The wrestling juggernaut’s developmental brand houses potential main roster superstars, and helps them build a fandom and generate reactions before moving them to either RAW or SmackDown.

However, the WWE Hall of Famer’s experience was the polar opposite. During a recent episode of his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash compared his era with WWE NXT.

Kevin Nash believes WWE NXT Superstars have more time than his generation had to break in

Nash joined WWE under Vince McMahon’s leadership, whose style of management has been proven to be significantly different from that of Triple H. Fans have heard superstars speak about both styles, and several have informed to favor The Cerebral Assassin’s method.

The Hall of Famer explained that his era pro-wrestlers had a handful of years to break in, whereas WWE NXT allows superstars to be on the brand for beyond three years even if they hadn’t made it to the main roster.

“You think about in 2012 up until even 2016 or ’17, there were still guys in developmental that had been down there three years, that hadn’t worked their way to the main roster. Whereas when I broke in, I basically broke in ’90. So by ’93 after three years, if you haven’t hooked on, you’re pretty much done. And there were still guys, they were kind of still spoon-feeding. And when we broke in, there was no pay, there wasn’t s**t.

Kevin Nash’s last WWE appearance was in 2020 during The Undertaker’s farewell ceremony. He may return to WWE if a non-wrestling role is offered to him.
