Kenny Omega Targeted By Current TNA Champion

Kenny Omega made his long-awaited return to AEW but now it seems he’s wanted by a current champion in an entirely different promotion.

At Worlds End, Kazuchika Okada celebrated winning the Continental Classic before Christopher Daniels appeared on the stage and said he’d usually present him with the title, but he’s no longer an Executive Vice President. This brought out Kenny Omega to a huge ovation and he collected the Continental Title belt before heading to the ring.

Omega handed the gold to Okada who held it above his head but refused to take his eyes off his long-time rival. After the lengthy staredown, that played out in front of a large banner for All In: Texas, Omega eventually left.

While AEW fans might have to wait until July to see Omega and Okada face off again after their previous era-defining trilogy of matches in NJPW, it seems someone else has their eye on Kenny Omega.

Nic Nemeth Wants Kenny Omega

Current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth took to social media to share his goals for 2025 which include Kenny Omega and a potential showdown with another AEW star:

Fight: Leon Slater, Jordynne, KC, Omega, Tanahashi (again), Adam Cole & Jeff (tore it up with Matt a lot, already)

After spending all of 2024 out of action due to serious illness, Kenny Omega will be back in the ring at Wrestle Dynasty in the building where he made his name – the Tokyo Dome – against Gabe Kidd.
