Kenny Omega Makes Unpopular WWE Prediction

Kenny Omega entrance at AEW Worlds End

Kenny Omega has made a controversial prediction about wrestling’s future.

In recent years, WWE has leaned into celebrity culture harder than ever. While the company has spent decades chasing mainstream approval, this time, more and more celebrities are strutting their stuff in the ring.

This has seen Logan Paul wrestle on a semi-regular basis while Bad Bunny has competed in multiple matches. In addition, Travis Scott, Jason Kelce, IShowSpeed, and more have made cameos that included getting physical in the ring.

At WrestleMania 41, Travis Scott made a controversial appearance in the main event after Logan Paul had beaten AJ Styles earlier in the night.

But where does it all end?

Kenny Omega Comments On Wrestling Evolution

On a new podcast, Kenny Omega teamed with Adi Shankar to pick apart “Devil May Cry” on Netflix. However, in the process, the pair managed to take a detour into the world of pro wrestling, where Omega made a depressing prediction about the future of WWE and wrestling as a whole.

The former AEW World Champion half-joked that it might not be long until WrestleMania is headlined by YouTube and streaming stars.

“I’ve said it before, I don’t think — I don’t know if I’ve ever said it publicly or not, but I mean, I think we’re headed on a path where it’s like, a couple of WrestleManias down the road, the main event’s gonna be Logan Paul vs. Mr. Beast. It’s like, what is the wrestling acumen? How many miles have they put into it? It’s like, does it matter? This is process of evolution.”

Kenny Omega was most recently in action on the April 30 edition of Dynamite, where he teamed with Mark Briscoe, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Mark Briscoe, and Kevin Knight in defeat to The Young Bucks, Ricochet, and Kazuchika Okada.
