Kenny Omega Update Including His Likely Return To AEW TV
Kenny Omega has been absent from AEW TV for a few weeks, but he should be back on TV fairly soon according to a new report.
A big name has been noticeably away from AEW TV shows in the last couple of weeks with some fans likely wondering why.
On the January 11th edition of AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles, Kenny Omega regained the AEW Trios Tag Team Titles with The Young Bucks (the group is known as The Elite) in a scintillating Ladder Match against Death Triangle to complete their Best of Seven Series. The Elite won the series 4-3 to regain the AEW Trios Tag Team Titles.
Following The Elite’s big title win, Omega hasn’t been at the January 18th and January 25th editions of AEW Dynamite which also included Rampage tapings.
It was reported by Fightful Select that Omega really wanted to be at the tapings, but there has been a visa issue. Omega is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Omega really wanted to be at the Dynamite in Lexington honoring Jay Briscoe because Omega was close to him and loved him, but Kenny wasn’t able to go because of the visa issue. The Observer noted that Omega hopes to return for Dynamite next week on February 1st in Dayton, Ohio, but it’s not a lock that Omega will be there.
Kenny Omega is also a former AEW World Champion and is also an Executive Vice President in the company as well.
