Kenny Omega Confronted By Old Rival After Latest Big Win

Kenny Omega poses at AEW Dynasty

The challenges keep on coming for Kenny Omega.

At Dynasty, Kenny Omega successfully defended his International Title in a fast-paced Three-Way match against Ricochet and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. The former World Champion grabbed the win after hitting an Avalanche One Winged Angel on Ricochet.

After the match, Kazuchika Okada made his way to the ring and marched straight up to Omega. The long-time rivals briefly looked each other in the eye before Omega broke off and began to make his way backstage.

In a social media post after the event, Omega shared several photos of himself and Okada writing “Some things never change.”

Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada At All In?

Back in December, Omega made his surprise return to AEW by confronting Okada who had just retained the Continental Championship. Omega handed the title to his rival as he celebrated winning the Continental Classic in front of a banner promoting All In Texas.

Many fans took the face-to-face to mean that the pair will finally have their first AEW match at the event in July.

Furthermore, it was reported in March that AEW is looking to combine the International and Continental Titles. While there’s no word on whether this would see one title absorb the other or the creation of another title entirely, fans were quick to note that the story could lead to a match between Omega and Okada.

The pair’s last singles match took place at NJPW Dominion 2018 where Omega beat Okada to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title in a 64-minute Two-Out-Of-Three Falls match.
