Ken Shamrock Touted For WWE Hall Of Fame
Ken Shamrock should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
With WrestleMania season just around the corner, attention has begun to turn to the next round of Hall of Fame inductions, and one name from WWE’s past keeps popping up. While the late, great Bray Wyatt would be a popular addition, momentum is also growing behind Ken Shamrock.
The former UFC star was the third man in the ring for the legendary WrestleMania 13 match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin, before going on to become a WWE regular for the next two years. During this period, Shamrock squared off against the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker, and Owen Hart, while winning the Intercontinental Title, Tag Team Titles, and King of the Ring tournament.
After his time in WWE came to an end, Shamrock went on to work for TNA and NJPW among others while also continuing his MMA career.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T called on WWE to induct Shamrock into the Hall of Fame while paying tribute to the star.
That’s great Ken Shamrock got a legend deal because he is truly one of the WWE legends, Booker stated. “He brought something to WWE from the mixed martial arts world, and it was real.
Ken did a damn good job while he was a part of WWE. And for him to be on the video games and all of that stuff, it’s cool. Put his name in for the Hall of Fame. Put his name in.
He’s always been a big WWE fan. You’ve never heard him say anything stupid about the company other than, ‘Man, why am I not getting in? Why am I not getting a piece of the action?’
I appreciate whoever gave Ken Shamrock the nod to get in deserves it. He deserves it. Some people deserve it. Some people deserve it, and some people never deserve to get in.”
Ken Shamrock Signs New WWE Deal
It was recently reported that Ken Shamrock had signed a new deal with WWE. The new agreement is believed to be a legends deal and brings Shamrock under the WWE umbrella for the first time since 1999.
The move has only added to rumors linking the star with a Hall of Fame induction. Shamrock has already been inducted into the UFC and IMPACT Hall of Fame.
