Kazuchika Okada Advances Into Continental Classic Final At AEW Worlds End

The first semifinal of the Continental Classic was one of the most anticipated matches of AEW Worlds End.

The bout came with a stipulation for Kazuchika Okada, who is the current Continental Champion and Unified Champion. The stipulation stated that if Okada lost the semifinal, he would be forced to vacate both the titles, guaranteeing a new Continental Champion in the final.

Konosuke Takeshita went into the match as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada Steals Victory

The members of the Don Callis Family had been at loggerheads for weeks. Their resentment carried into the match, as both Japanese superstars traded insults as well as heavy hits.

The Chicago crowd was lit, cheering both champions. Okada unsuccessfully attempted a few Rainmakers, while Takeshita did not have any luck with the initial running knee.

Okada introduced a screwdriver from the top turnbuckle and nailed Takeshita with it in the head for the pinfall. For a second consecutive year, the 38-year-old found himself in the final of the Continental Classic.

He will face either Kyle Fletcher or Jon Moxley.
