Karrion Kross Urges WWE Legend Not To Retire After Shocking Tease
Is WWE legend AJ Styles retiring soon?
AJ Styles recently sparked speculation about his retirement by posting a cryptic hourglass image on social media, with the sand inside featuring his signature logo.
Fans and insiders interpreted this hourglass as a metaphor for time running out, suggesting The Phenomenal One is considering ending his legendary wrestling career. The visual of his “P1” logo fading in the hourglass resonated deeply with long-time fans, many of whom responded pleading for him to stay.

The cryptic post even forced ex-WWE star Karrion Kross, who now goes by the name Killer Kross, to comment on social media.
“Uncle Allen I will turn that hourglass upside down… don’t you dare leave us.”

AJ Styles’ WWE Contract Situation
Styles’ tease became particularly noteworthy considering his contract situation. Fightful Select confirmed Styles signed a one-year extension this summer, pushing his WWE deal expiration to February 2026, just after next year’s Royal Rumble and before WrestleMania season.
We’ve learned more details on AJ Styles current deal. Especially considering a new post of an hourglass that seemed to tease retirement. Earlier this year, there was heavy speculation on the contract of AJ Styles, and when it was scheduled to expire.
Fightful Select found out from those close to Styles that his deal was extended for one-year. We’re told that WWE does hope to retain him after that period, but will evaluate things and his interest.
What we didn’t know at that point was when the contract actually expires, or how long the deal was. Sources close to Styles had indicated that the deal is up around February of 2026, which would have him expiring after the Royal Rumble and before WrestleMania season. Styles has long discussed the possibility of retirement, but hasn’t mentioned it much lately, and his in-ring work hasn’t suffered.
AJ Styles has openly discussed retirement on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, reiterating that he won’t wrestle past the age of 50, which he will reach in June 2027.
That’s correct. I keep saying that. I’ve said this and said this, but I will not wrestle at 50, I promise you that.
