Karrion Kross Urged To Leave WWE For Major Reason

A veteran in the pro wrestling business believes Karrion Kross needs to get away from WWE.

The second WWE run for Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett, began in August 2022, shortly after Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer. The previous regime, led by Vince McMahon, had released Kross, but Triple H brought him back due to their shared history.

During Karrion Kross’s NXT run, he was a two-time NXT Champion and one of the most dominant wrestlers in NXT history. The person calling the shots in those days was Triple H.

While Kross has had some success on the main roster, his Final Testament group was taken away from him, and he’s only had one televised singles match on Raw this year.

As for his future, it was reported in March that Karrion Kross’ WWE contract is going to expire at some point this summer, although there are no specifics about when that will be.

Is It Time For Karrion Kross To Leave WWE?

On the “Coach And Bro Live” show with former WWE & TNA writer Vince Russo and former WWE producer Tommy Carlucci, Russo made the point that Kross needs to let his contract expire and leave WWE.

Vince Russo: “I gotta tell ya, man, if I’m Kross, I’m letting the contract expire because this dude could make a fortune on the open market.”

Tommy Carlucci: “So here’s the thing. Is there jealousy because he can come up with his own storylines?”

Vince Russo: “Yes, absolutely. Bro, the kiss of death in wrestling is when you’re smarter than those above you. When you’re smarter and they know you’re smarter, you’re a threat. If you’re a threat, they’re going to put you in that little box and you aren’t ever leaving that box. I think that’s the category that Karrion Kross is in.”

Russo also blasted Triple H for not having the courage to push Karrion Kross by putting the Money in the Bank briefcase on him. While Kross appears regularly on Raw, he didn’t wrestle in any of the Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
