Karrion Kross & Scarlett Reveal If WWE Contacted Them: “It’s Very Weird”
WWE officially released Karrion Kross and Scarlett after their contracts expired on August 10, 2025, following unexpected and complicated contract negotiations.
The duo was initially not offered new contracts ahead of expiration, stirring speculation among fans. Later, reports surfaced that a new contract was offered to Karrion Kross late in the process but was quickly rescinded after The Tollman requested clarity on how WWE valued the offer.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Karrion Kross revealed WWE gave him a 24-hour ultimatum to accept the deal without explaining the valuation metrics, and upon his request for more information, the offer was withdrawn.
Scarlett was never formally offered a renewed contract. Both Kross and Scarlett expressed a desire to remain with WWE, but the lack of transparency and communication led to a strangled negotiation process with WWE seemingly moving on without them.
WWE Hasn’t Reached Out to Karrion Kross and Scarlett After Their Release
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Karrion Kross and Scarlett discussed their current relationship with WWE following their departure. When asked if WWE had reached out to them in any capacity after the Aerial Helwani interview, Killer Kross revealed they hadn’t heard from their ex-employer.
The Devil of Monterrey emphasized that despite no ongoing communication, he did not feel they were on bad terms with the company, believing that a pathway for dialogue still exists.
Scarlett offered some clarity on the situation, stating that their last experience with WWE was quite baffling. The Herald of Doomsday felt the entire process had been odd and stressful, highlighting that they had proactively expressed interest in continuing with the company but were ultimately blocked by WWE’s abrupt retraction of the contract offer.
Kross: No. But I mean to me and to Scarlet, I don’t feel like we’re on scorched earth communications. Like I feel like there’s an ability for us to communicate.
Scarlett: That was the last thing I told them. I said, “You guys have our numbers. I think everything’s going to work out, but you know how to reach us.” And they’re like, “The line goes both ways.” I’m like, “What do you mean? You said the offer was rescended.” Like you guys
