Karrion Kross Reveals His Position On WWE Return
Karrion Kross has expressed what he wants to do even after his recent frustrations with WWE.
It was announced that Karrion Kross and his wife Scarlett’s WWE run was over on August 10 after their contracts were not renewed. The couple signed three-year deals in August 2022 and were primarily featured on the Raw brand over the last three years.
The last WWE match that Kross had was at SummerSlam, when he lost clean to Sami Zayn about one week before Kross’ contract expired.
Since the deals of Kross and Scarlett expired, many people assumed it was just a storyline and that the heelish couple would be back soon. However, Kross insisted that it wasn’t a work and that it was a very real situation.
During an hour-plus-long conversation with Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, Kross made it clear that he would like to go back “home” to WWE with his wife.
“I would prefer to go back home with my wife and let’s give people what they want. Home meaning WWE. Despite the fact it’s been frustrating, I still want to go back.”
Karrion Kross Cherishes His WWE Memories
Over the last five years, Kross has had two runs with WWE. The first run saw him succeed in NXT with two NXT Title reigns, but when he got called up to the main roster, it didn’t go well, and former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon released him in November 2021.
Over the past three years, Kross hasn’t won any titles on the main roster, but he has had the opportunity to work with notable names in the company, including Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, The New Day, and Sami Zayn, among others.
That’s why, when asked if he would go back to WWE, Karrion Kross admitted the relationships he has with people in WWE mean a lot to him.
“I have so many great core memories of being there, even amongst all that other stuff. It pales in comparison to the relationships and friendships I have, not just with people in the locker room but with the supporting staff.”
Regarding his WWE boss, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Karrion Kross made it clear that Triple H knows how Kross feels, and he is hoping to “keep the lines of communication and dialogue open” to set up a possible WWE return.
