Karrion Kross Reveals New Name After Heartbreaking WWE Exit

Karrion Kross and Scarlett WWE

Karrion Kross has officially closed the WWE chapter and turned the page with a familiar name.

Kross and his wife Scarlett’s contracts quietly expired on August 10, 2025, at midnight. Both were moved to the WWE’s alumni section the same day, confirming their exit. Despite reports claiming that the TKO-owned company had offered them a new deal, multiple outlets reported they didn’t resign with the Stamford-based promotion.

Hours later, The Herald of Doomsday addressed the change on social media, framing it as a transition rather than a cut-and-dried release. After the exit, Kross announced he is now accepting bookings at [email protected].

Kross’s recent rival was Sami Zayn, a months-long feud built on his psychological attacks and interference that culminated at SummerSlam 2025. At MetLife Stadium, Zayn defeated Kross in a short, emphatic match, landing a swift Helluva Kick to secure the pin after he refused to cheat.

Karrion Kross Is Now Killer Kross Again

A day after his exit from WWE, Karrion Kross took to his official Instagram account to share the announcement of his new merch release. He referenced the “Killer Kross” identity on the post, signaling an immediate reversion to his pre-WWE ring name.

He previously used “Killer Kross” (and “Kevin Kross”) across AAA, MLW, AAW, Wrestling Revolver, FSW, and Lucha Underground, building a reputation for quick finishes, lengthy unbeaten runs, and a hard-edged presentation with Scarlett long before adopting “Karrion” in WWE.

It might be the end of his WWE journey now, but veteran Vince Russo is confident that leaving WWE is going to turn into a blessing for him. Check out what Russo had to say about Kross’ exit from WWE here.
